![]() This is commonly considered to be the hardest of the 2 bosses and I agree with that. When you have the Vine rune unlocked you can choose what path to take - either to the Concierge or Conjunctivius. In later runs when you have unlocked the Vine rune, you can access this boss by going to Toxic Sewers, then the Ancient Sewers, to the Insufferable Crypt. This Dead Cells boss is also the "First" boss but it cannot be accessed first. ![]() This Items like Ice bow or Wolf trap make this fight a breeze. Stun him, freeze him, make him move less. Jump dodge his Fire strike/Leap combo, dodge through the force field. Roll behind him when he is using his stab. TLDR for this Dead Cells boss and how to defeat him. The force field is large enough that you might get caught in it even when rolling. The force field can be dodge rolled trough but use this with caution. The boss often combines this move with his leap in later stages of the fight and tends to use this move before the leap. The boss creates an aura around himself that will damage the player if he is caught in it. The second defensive ability is Damage Field. Be careful regarding this move since the stun is long enough that the player can take a fair bit of damage. This move is also used to transition from different stages. The boss creates a force field around him that makes him immune to damage for a couple of seconds and stuns the player if he is caught in the force field. This way you can get some attacks in and be safe from the attack.Īs for the defense, this boss has 2 defensive abilities and he often combines them. The most effective way to dodge this is to roll towards the boss so that you land right behind the boss. This attack simply stabs the player if he is close to the boss and in front of him. And the last attack the boss has is a Stab. The Leap is the second attack that the boss will use and it will leap to the player. ![]() In later stages of the fight, the boss can do a leap attack right after it and to dodge this you need to roll mid-air and try to time it so that the boss passes you over at the time if the roll. This can be dodged simply by jumping over it. Concierge slams the ground behind him and drags the ground with his arm thus telegraphing an AOE attack that goes as a shock wave to both sides. The boss has 3 attacks that are fairly easy to dodge since they are telegraphed well but he also has some defensive abilities that can catch the player off guard. Mechanically he is not that hard to understand and most players will be able to defeat him after catching on to his attack pattern so let me explain it and how to avoid it. My first times I got destroyed by this boss simply because I did not know how to deal with him. But being the easiest one does not mean its easy. This is the first of Dead Cells bosses and is the easiest one to defeat. ![]() But now let's get into the individual boss mechanics and how to defeat them. Other than that, combine your affixes for best damage results. This will make all of the bosses fights a lot easier since when the bosses are slow, you can sneak in a lot of damage. It will freeze enemies until they take damage and then apply a slow effect on them. You can, of course, avoid all damage with doges but most of the time this will not work for new players, so taking less damage can be one of the ways to deal with the bosses. For instance, if you have a lot of damage reduction (caps at 75%) then most boss fights are somewhat easy (talking difficulty levels 1-3, 4 is a whole other beast). Your gear can make almost all Dead Cells bosses trivial if you have the correct pieces. Any feedback on the guide will be appreciated
